Highway Manikins is the lifelong vision of Texas singer-songwriter Greg Haws: raw,road-worn American music that feels like it’s been rolling down the windows of anold pickup since the day he was born. At two years old, he was already riding shotgun with his dad, memorizing every Chuck Berry riff, Skynyrd solo, and 90s country hook crackling through the dash speakers. By 2010, he was cutting his teeth as lead guitarist for half the stages in Texas, learning exactly how a song can make a room full of strangers feel like family. Highway Manikins is where all of that finally lands under one name. It’s Gregstepping out front with his own stories: songs that hit like a Waylon record the second the needle drops, even if you’ve never heard them before. The sound is built on late-night highways, cheap whiskey, earned scars, and the kind of heart that onlycomes from small-town miles. Right now it’s a “Field of Dreams” play: write it real, play it loud, and let the right players find their way home. One thing’s certain; when they do, you’ll know exactlywhose song just came on.
